In the morning we all got up and got ready. We all put our stuff in our classes and started to play games.

After that went outside and did fitness. The fitness trainer was Hailey she taught us a game and we did a couple of lapses… we did about 3-4 lapses and then it started to rain just after we were going to play a game of basketball. We did fitness at about 7:00 am in the morning.

Then we got our lunch ready and left to go to the pools and have a lot of F.U.N some FUN….

When we got to the pools we all got into our togs and hoped into the pools and had a game of volley ball and started to splash water at the boys and we tried to run in the water but in was keeping us back...

 

Sleepover

Sleepover

On the 23rd we had another EOTC activity it was sleeping at school. We played a lot of activities. Some of the activities that we played was cards, board games, bean bags.

After that we all started to get our beds ready and played some games we played spotlight me and Tiare caught about 214 people. They changed the rules and said that we could find the person and then in about 5 min you can spot them again.

When we finished we all hopped into our beds and watched a movie some got to play games but some didn't want to. I almost fell asleep but I didn't some people went to sleep. When we were about to go asleep we had some chocolate but it was just me and my friends had some because I secretly brang some.

My highlight was playing spotlight because we found a lot of people and had a lot of fun...

Te papa Nga taonga sound and vision

On the 23rd of november  we went to Te Papa and we did a bunch of activity like filling out a sheet for Te papa.

We first got to school and when school started we all got outside and started to get into to our groups with an adult. My adult's name was Jazzman she was Lennox’s mum.

We went to look at the Cook Islands information but we first went to the A.N.Z.A.C place just my group it was fun we learnt a lot of stuff about what happen in the wars.

Nga Taonga Sound and Vision

On the 23rd of November we went to Te papa and learnt about a lot of stuff after that we went to Nga Taonga Sound and Vision…

When I first got there we went into the movie theater and then we started to watch what happened in the olden days. After that we learnt about the different types of video tapes.

There were big tapes little tapes and medium tapes the coolest tape was a computer well it's not a tape but that's what he used….

Survival day  

On Tuesday the 22nd we had survival day. We had activities. We got into groups for our first activity.

My first teacher that I was with was Whaea Bex.

She tort us how to tie bandages and all the safety stuff. The very first thing was we had watch this video of how to tie a proper bandages. We also learnt how to do it ourselves. When you tie a bandage on someone's foot you have to tie then you get the toe nail and press on it for five seconds after that you wait so it can go back to he/she normal color.

The other class that we went to was room 8 it was card making and we made a cube it wasn’t really surviving but it was like a fun station or a happy station..

My next class that my group went to was room 10 we had to solve a problem it was hard we didn't win but we had a lot of fun we sorted the stuff into pies. We lost but we were close.

In the next class which was room 11 it was doing a poster not just a regular poster a be safe poster for when a earthquake happens you know what to have like a warter a lot of it to stay hydrated or if you don’t have water you will die… I tried to list all the stuff down but i got a little mixed up.

My favorite class well  it was a hall that we went to it was a fun and cool station we played games had a warm up and had fun.

My highlight of the day is the cool station it was the best….

The Lagoon

On the 22nd we went to the lagoon. Rooms (8, 9, 10, 11 and 17) went there, Was about 140.

The first thing we did was go down to the Lagoon and we had a little snack and played some games. The games that the kids were playing were (Soccer,Tug of war,Rugby,bat down,ball tag,tag.

They played a lot of games but my favorite game was the spinning snake it was fast as a snake. It was really fun because I kept falling off and my hat kept coming off my friend kept looking at me and laughing. It was scary at first but now it isn't.

My highlight of the day was going on the spinning snake with all my friends even my cousin. I loved it.

Early Maori

Early Māori

On the 2nd of November we had Whaea Toni come into our class and learnt some early Māori. We learnt about the technology that they used back in the days. Everyone looked like they did not know anything just like me I was blank as a paper.

What is technology about????

Innovation means great ideas and adaption means changes. We also learnt about the resources that they used when they went out to catch food.

We also learnt that when Whaea Toni was going to have a new mokopuna. So she was asking Whaea Clare how to make a little bed just how they made it back in the days.

Back in the days they would whack people if they spoke māori…. Whaea Toni’s dad went to a school where they weren't aloud to speak māori. One day he speaked māori then he got a whack about 3 or 4 whacks…

When they had no shoes to wear they would use some of the cabbage tree and weave it together and make some shoes like these ones.

They would weave it so they could wear it during their journey while they are walking through the bush.

   

Olympic Homework

Olympic Silhouette

In my class we have been doing some artwork. The artwork we have been doing are silhouettes. When you make the silhouette you need these stuff 1. A4 paper 2. Pastels 3. Ruler 4. Pencil Those are just the stuff to make it. The patterns that we used on the inside were squiggly lines that were coming out from the silhouette. At the top of all of the patterns are bits of black and white pieces of news paper. Then there were these words saying Olympics at the top and our sport that we choose at the bottom.

What i did in front of my whole class was i had to present my facts about the solar system and one galaxy. At the bottom of my writing is where my facts about the solar system and one galaxy. My home learning was to do a project about space. my project was the solar system,it was a very good project that we did because it was fun to do.

Whanaungatanga Art Work

My Whanaungatanga is all about friendship and family and it's got some manaakitanga words like kindness trust faith hospitality those are just some the words.This is a example about what Whanaungatanga means if your brother is playing by himself then you could play with him but just ask him first also bring your friend along so there can be more players you can also teach him how to play.
